Offering environmental support to micro-businesses and VCSEs in Hertfordshire

We’re working with Hertfordshire Health Board on their Community Wealth Building Programme to support micro-businesses and VCSEs (including registered charities) based in Hertfordshire with their sustainability journey.

Throughout May and June, eligible organisations will be able to join two fully funded workshops designed to help them quickly identify ways to reduce costs and enhance their environmental performance. After successfully completing these workshops participants will then have the opportunity to be enrolled in the iiE (Investors in the Environment) national accreditation scheme with a fully funded 12 month Starter Level Membership*.

This is a unique opportunity for the participants to benefit from knowledge sharing and networking and to better understand their resource use and general environmental impacts.

There are two fully funded workshops available:

WORKSHOP 1: INTRODUCTION TO ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

Time: 10am-12pm, Dates: Wed 4th May and Wed 25th May

  • How to conduct an overview of current organisational environmental processes and/or existing management system structure, including communications.
  • Training on how to write an environmental policy and how to start engaging staff.
  • Introduction to iiE and the Starter Level support package.
  • Understand the iiE accreditation process and the potential benefits.
