iiE expands into the North West with new delivery partner

Are you a business that’s looking to become greener? Would you like to receive accreditation for your eco achievements? Well, now businesses in the North West can access personalised support to achieve their environmental aspirations with the expansion of Investors in the Environment (iiE) into their region.

Investors in the Environment is an environmental accreditation scheme designed to help the business sector save money and reduce its impact on the environment. The iiE scheme is unique because organisations must achieve a minimum 2% improvement in resource efficiency each year, to secure Green accreditation.

Other criteria include having a recycling system in place, adopting a travel plan, calculating organisational carbon footprints and setting targets for carbon reduction. Upon successful implementation of the iiE criteria, members are awarded with the recognised stamp of certification.

The new delivery partner for the region is Dr Jan Maskell. Jan is a Registered Occupational Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience of working with public, private and not-for-profit organisations with a focus on management and leadership development. She applies her knowledge and experience of positive psychology, has a passion for learning, and promotes the role of psychology in behaviour change at a personal and organisational level.

“I aim to create personal and organisational resilience, through recognising the need to mitigate the impact of climate change and our impact on the environment,” explains Jan. “I’m pleased to be able to offer iiE certification to businesses, because I am passionate about helping organisations understand their role in sustainability and feel I can help them save money through reducing resource use.”

“We’re delighted that Jan has decided to become a delivery partner for iiE in the North West,” explains iiE’s April Sotomayor. “Her skills will be a fantastic asset to the team and she is the ideal person to lead the region’s businesses in achieving environmental successes to allow them to become smarter, more sustainable businesses for the future.”
