iiE announces new Green Champion online course
Investors in the Environment (iiE) are excited to announce the launch of the Green Champion course. This course will provide learners with the skills to understand their organisation’s environmental impact and the tools to implement an effective Environmental Management System to make improvements.
Everyone and every business has a role to play in a sustainable future. As a green champion, iiE aims to empower you with solutions that will make a difference.
What does the course cover?
This short online course is delivered through our e-Learning platform; learners can work through modules at their own pace and take practical steps to create change. It will give you the foundational knowledge to improve your organisation’s environmental performance, covering topical areas such as:
- Carrying out basic environmental audits
- Using data to track performance & influence decision making
- Developing action plans and setting targets
- Practical tools to cut carbon and waste
- How to engage staff/ co-workers and communicate your commitment to sustainability
The course ends with a short multiple-choice answer exam and upon completion, learners will receive an iiE Green Champion certification.
Who is it for?
The course is open to anyone looking to learn more about sustainability and how to help their organisation go green.
Learners need no prior sustainability knowledge and free templates & resources will be embedded within the modules. iiE members will also benefit from references to the Bronze, Silver and Green e-Learning pathway and how to use course content towards their iiE accreditation.
The course content has been designed to be broad and so is applicable to any job role and relevant across all sectors and sized organisations.
How much does it cost?
Current iiE members will receive free places as part of their membership*. Prices for the full course and certification cost £70 per registrant.
iiE members also receive a standard 20% discount on any additional places and on our other (IEMA certified) training courses.
