Numerous climate emergencies have been declared across the UK, and indeed across Yorkshire and Humber. But what do we do once a climate emergency has been acknowledged locally, and how does this affect your organisation?

Join us for this timely and in-depth workshop plus networking event hosted by iiE member Hull City Council, who are leading the way in the region. HCC is developing a climate action plan after declaring a climate emergency in March 2019. Come along to hear about what is being done in order to achieve their commitment to net-zero emissions by 2030, and find out what others are doing to support this at various levels of government and business.

This session will feature an overview on why climate emergencies have been declared and the challenges and opportunities that will come with this. The series of talks will be followed by a workshop whereby participants will discover what others are doing and what possibilities for collaborative solutions there are in the region.

Don’t miss this excellent opportunity. To book on, contact us at info@iie.uk.com.

This event is organised in partnership with the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA).
