Princebuild Limited becomes Green Leader

Peterborough based firm, Princebuild Limited are delighted to have been awarded the highest ‘Green Level’ accreditation by Investors in the Environment.

Princebuild are a family owned company who have been delivering construction and refurbishment services both within Peterborough and nationally since 1971. More recently they have developed a Renewables and Business Services division, under the name Princeenergy, providing energy saving solutions such as solar panels, heat pumps and biomass boilers along with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and air conditioning services. It is their commitment, not only to reducing their own carbon footprint, but that of other companies and individual homeowners through their renewable services, which has allowed them to achieve the highest Green Level accreditation.

To achieve the accreditation Princebuild have been working tirelessly to save energy, reduce waste and increase recycling. They have also introduced measures such as LED and motion detection lighting and have an extensive recycling drive covering general waste, paper, batteries and food waste, all resulting in a significant 31% reduction in gas use and an even more impressive 38% increase in estimated carbon offsetting.

How did we help?

iiE commented “Overall this was an excellent showing from Princebuild who have been rapidly expanding in the world of Renewables as well as other divisions.  They are clearly aware of the community and are actively seeking to engage with them in various ways.”

“Princebuild is committed to improving the communities we work in and continually strives to reduce the impact our business activities have on the environment. The Investors in Environment accreditation is great recognition of our environmental awareness and will help us to set the standard for the environment amongst other businesses” Sam, who is also the Environmental Champion within the business has plans for further improvements, with a staff iiE awareness day planned and further upgrades to lighting, boilers and water systems. With this in mind it is hoped the company will be able to realise year on year improvements to become even greener!
