Anderbys are Driving Up Green Standards
Anderbys, a Grimsby-based driving school, have recently achieved the iiE Bronze award after taking important and commendable steps to green their business.
As well as closely monitoring their gas, electric and water and taking steps to reduce their consumption, Anderbys has focused on their printed marketing materials and have brought in an initiative to reduce paper consumption by at least 15%. Achieved by making simple amendments to their company literature and only distributing information when relevant, this is a significant reduction in the organisation’s environmental impact.
Other steps taken in the office have included using refillable ink cartridges and ensuring waste is reduced where possible and recycled. As a driving school they’re also working with their instructors to ensure the benefits of ‘eco-driving’ are highlighted wherever possible, as well as making information available about low emission vehicles and the benefits they can bring.
