Newcastle Upon TyneLive Theatre is an independent theatre based on the Quayside, Newcastle within a series of historic buildings. It is the only theatre in England, outside of London, that is dedicated to the creation and production of new plays. We nurture undiscovered, emerging and established playwrights to create world class plays with a social and political focus. We give writers and theatre makers the opportunity to tell the stories that are steeped in the concerns and issues of today, with a broad and diverse appeal, championing the people and culture of the North East.
