East Cambridgeshire District Council
ElyEast Cambridgeshire District Council is a non-metropolitan district council in the county of Cambridgeshire. It was formed under the Local Government Act 1972.
The purpose and aims of local government authorities is to enable democratic local decision-making and action by, and on behalf of, communities and to promote the social, economic, environmental, and cultural well-being of communities in the present and for the future. (Local Government Act 2002, section 10 (1)).
The council currently has around 180 employees with a mix of full time and part time staff following a hybrid format of a minimum three office days a week for full time staff.
