Stricklandgate House Trust

The Stricklandgate House Trust (SGHT) is a charitable trust that operates and administers the Centre for Voluntary Organisations based in Kendal at Stricklandgate House (SGH). It aims to support and promote the charitable and voluntary sector in the delivery of their services by providing reasonably priced accommodation, common services, and facilities. Currently Stricklandgate House is home to 12 charitable or voluntary organisations who support the welfare and caring needs of local people. Stricklandgate House also offers counselling, meeting, and conference rooms. A Community Food Larder and a Warm Spot are run from our premises.

Stricklandgate House itself is a grade II listed Georgian Building, with a very interesting and varied history and heritage. Stricklandgate House Trust is responsible for preserving, enhancing, and promoting that history and heritage.
