Mortal Fools

We are Mortal Fools; a North East, multi award-winning theatre, drama and creative learning charity, specialising in co-creating theatre, film, creative projects and leadership development training with and for young people, professional artists, communities and organisations of all sizes.

We started out as a small youth theatre group, running one-off week-long projects from a village hall. Today, we work with thousands of children and young people and over hundred businesses every year, jointly co-constructing impactful work to meet the evolving contemporary needs of children and young people, businesses and society. We have two office bases in Northumberland (in Ashington and Prudhoe) and tour our work Nationally.

We use drama, theatre-based and social science approaches – inter-personal by nature – to support people to build the skills and knowledge to form and maintain better relationships; to learn about themselves and then to use that knowledge to collaborate better, to share their stories more articulately and confidently, to problem-solve with others and to lead or teach more effectively.
