Community Ventures

Community Ventures (Middlesbrough) Limited (also known as CVL) is a community anchor organization in the heart of the Thorntree ward in East Middlesbrough. We were established as a charity in 1987. CVL provides a range of services for the community including employment support and training, drop-in sessions, soft skills and confidence training, support for mental health issues, dementia café, youth groups (Boys in Blue and Sheroes), men and women only groups, exercise, cookery and health classes. Our Pavillion Nursery provides low cost childcare for up to 40 children from low-income families, we have a small portfolio of social housing providing supported tenancies to people recovering from addiction. We have a community garden, and we host community activities throughout the year.
