World Car Free Day is a global event held on September 22. It encourages drivers to give up their cars for a day and use public transport, ride a bike, or simply walk.
On this day, residents of participating cities have a chance to see what their city would look like with fewer cars, and for people to see what alternatives exist and whether there’s a better way to commute to work!
