Carbon Offsetting, Capture and Removal are big pieces of the net-zero jigsaw which are still to be finally shaped and cemented into place.  As a sector in development, it has undergone some of the growing pains seen during the dot-com bubble of the late 1990s, suffering from a lack of clarity, stability and reliability leading to a certain amount of scepticism and despair amongst those tasked with developing Net Zero Strategies.

Stephen Prior from iiE’s partner Forest Carbon, will provide insight into how carbon offsetting works and doesn’t work, and how businesses can use it to meet their carbon reduction goals. He will delve into quality assurance, transparency, and UK & international projects, equipping businesses with information to plan what they want to do and the right questions to ask of any offset provider they speak to.
