The Basics of Carbon Footprinting (Members Only)

In the last year there has been a huge shift in employees working from home, but what does this mean for your carbon footprint?

Most businesses will have seen significant reductions in their business carbon footprint as staff were working from home. However, while the business site carbon footprint may have reduced, the carbon emissions associated with delivering business activity / service has not – the source of emissions has simply shifted. With flexible / hybrid working being proposed for staff as we continue through COVID and into the future, it is vital that businesses consider the carbon impacts associated with home working over the last year, and what impacts hybrid working will have in the future.

In this webinar, using the EcoAct Whitepaper, we will focus on the methodology and provide a simple tool to help your business account for the homeworking shift in your organisation’s carbon footprint. In addition, we will also be unveiling our iiE carbon footprint calculator*. We will show you how you can use the data to your advantage and identify key opportunities to lower emissions, including sharing top tips on how to engage with your staff to implement simple and easy ways to reduce their carbon emissions at home.

To register your place for this event, please book here.

*Please note that the iiE calculator is suitable for SMEs without complex carbon footprints. Large, multi-site organisations, or organisations that must report their carbon footprint externally to government or other stakeholders are recommended to use the iiE SmartCarbon tool, available as an addition to iiE membership.
