Earth Day Litter Pick

The theme for Earth Day this year is End Plastic Pollution:

‘From poisoning and injuring marine life to disrupting human hormones, from littering our beaches and landscapes to clogging our waste streams and landfills, the exponential growth of plastics is now threatening the survival of our planet.

In response, Earth Day 2018 is dedicated to providing the information and inspiration needed to fundamentally change human attitude and behavior about plastics’.

iiE is supporting this with a litter pick in Peterborough on 27th April from 12pm until 2pm. We would like to invite all iiE members, and anyone else that would like to take part to join us.

We will start outside Charters, on the south side of the river by town bridge and work our way along the river until we reach Wharf Road. Litter pickers and bags will be provided, so should you wish to attend, please confirm to danette.ohara@iie.uk.com by COB on Wednesday 25th April. Any questions can also be sent to Danette.

If you are unable to join us in Peterborough, please do join in by holding a litter pick outside your building.
