Skills for People
Newcastle Upon TyneSkills for People is a charity working alongside people with learning disabilities, autistic people, and their families to make our communities fairer, more inclusive, and more accessible for everyone.
We recognise that climate change and environmental inequality disproportionately affect disabled people, families living in poverty, and communities already facing disadvantage. As a values-driven organisation, we have a responsibility to contribute to a healthier, more sustainable world.
To support this, we will establish a Skills for People Green Team, bringing together a trustee, the CEO, the Senior Management Team’s Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) for Environment, and staff members from across the organisation. The Green Team will provide leadership, drives engagement, and ensures environmental action is embedded across our work. The team is responsible for developing, reviewing, and monitoring our Environmental Action Plan.
