Birmingham Voluntary Service Council (BVSC)

Birmingham

Birmingham Voluntary Service Council (BVSC) is passionate about making a positive difference to Birmingham’s people and places. They believe that the key to this is found in their 5000 Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCSFE) organisations creating change in the City. BVSC supports these organisations.

BVSC is a registered charity and company (limited by guarantee) and Birmingham’s CVS (Council for Voluntary Service) – a membership organisation for VCFSE sector organisations.

BVSC is affiliated to NAVCA (the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action) and NCVO (the National Council for Voluntary Organisations), though as with all CVS’ across the country, they are an independent charity.

VCFSE organisations range from large multi-national organisations to small community groups including:

  • charities
  • community interest companies
  • faith groups
  • co-operatives
  • social enterprises

BVSC offers wide-ranging support to VCSFE organisations including on:

  • Setting Up & Growing
  • Finance & Funding
