Are you ready for the Green Deal?
Excellent news, PCL have been granted approval to deliver several new energy related qualifications and this training maybe free.
PCL are an ABBE accredited training centre, and ABBE are also conducting all of the government’s pilot studies for the ‘Green ‘‘Deal’. The Home Energy Course has only been developed since March and has been established to meet the standards of the Green Deal’, as you can see below:
The training maybe FREE if you or your employees meet this criteria:
• Business/Department with less than 250 employees
and
• Candidate’s 19-24 years old with less than 2 or more A-levels (or equivalent)
or
• Candidate’s 25+ years old with less than 5 GCSEs grade’s A-C (or equivalent)

Hydrostat exists to help customers reduce their financial and environmental costs of water and energy.
For example, Hydrostat is an authorised distributor of the Waterguard System. Waterguard is a device which delivers three complementary elements:
- Offering web-based access to half-hourly water consumption data from your sites.
- Restricting the flow of water at certain times, e.g. overnight and weekends, to reduce the impact of minor leaks and wasted water.
- Minimising the risk of flooding from burst pipes by monitoring and managing the flow of water.

In these times of financial austerity Hydrostat realises it isn’t easy to find funding, even for invest-to-save projects. For this reason Hydrostat is flexible in its business model. Customers can choose to pay either fixed charges for goods and services, or alternatively Hydrostat will take actions with no upfront charges, but will accept a share of the savings from the actions taken. The latter model might be attractive as a no-risk option.

Improve Your Environmental Efficiency for FREE
Resource Efficiency East is offering a free two-day package for businesses looking to explore the practicalities of adopting an environmental management system (EMS). The EMS Review service starts with a visit to your business to conduct a benchmarking exercise; designed to help you understand the benefits of an EMS and map out what needs to be achieved to implement an EMS. The visit should take approximately 3 to 4 hours. Support will then be given over a six month period to implement, measure and review the improvements. As such, an ongoing commitment is required.
