Better Environmental Performance, Lower Costs - With FREE support to all SME's (small and mediumsized enterprises) in the East of England.
The EASIER programme is designed to reduce your energy costs, and make your firm more efficient and cost-effective. It costs nothing to join, and there are no strings attached or hidden costs or commitments. All we ask is that participants do their best to implement the energy-changing measures which we recommend.
Our recommendations come with a detailed cost analysis, and will pay for themselves within a couple of years of so – after which, the savings are all yours!
Zero-interest loans may also be available
If you join the EASIER programme, we shall
• Measure you carbon footprint
• Study your business, and produce detailed recommendations for reducing your energy costs and carbon footprint
• help you to implement the changes
• measure your carbon footprint again, and calculate what it means to your firm on terms of overheads and in carbon reduction
We work with you to produce a robust environmental policy, essential when selling into public service and government suppliers. We will help you get quotations and choose the best suppliers, obtain loans if necessary, and generally help you to project-manage your cost-saving programme.
Phone 0845 60 20 101 and ask for EASIER; we could save you a small fortune!

Eastex - The national materials Exchange
Eastex Materials Exchange is a free, web-based scheme where businesses can re-home unwanted materials rather than sending them to landfill. Other businesses, community groups and schools can benefit from donations of unwanted materials.
Eastex finds a home for anything from office furniture to construction waste, cardboard to pot pourri.
The scheme is based on the premise that one person's waste is another’s raw material.
Local businesses have saved over £1.5 million in waste disposal and procurement costs and 10,000 tonnes of goods have been diverted from landfill.
Rubbish and waste can account for over 4% of business turnover. It's important to remember that each pound saved on material costs goes straight to the bottom line.
To find out what material you could get for free, or what waste streams you could get re-homed visit www.eastex.org.uk - it's free to register and free to use.
Greeniversity - Free learning and teaching
Greeniversity gives you the opportunity to learn something new and environmentally friendly, for free, and just for fun!

In a nutshell, Greeniversity is people in and around Peterborough getting together to learn green skills from other local people who have skills they are willing to share.
There are courses about how to grow your own veg, how to knit, how to customise charity shop clothes, how to ride (and service) your bike, and even how to insulate your loft.
Our Greeniversity learners and teachers are a diverse bunch – there are over 200 of them already!
