Anglian Water Renewable Energy Summit
Anglian Water have set an aspirational target of generating around 25% of the energy used by the business (AW’s current energy demand is around 700 Gwh/yr) from renewable sources by 2015. Even with current plans for two wind turbine sites and to increase the percentage produced from biogas CHP, there is still a 10% gap in meeting this target.
All of the key Anglian Water managers involved in the renewable energy strategy will be devoting a day to talk in detail about the challenges and the opportunities. They want to meet with companies in the renewable energy sector that can work with them to close this 10% gap.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to explore the possibility of providing renewable energy solutions to one of the UK’s biggest water companies.

We are fortunate to have guest speakers from the Fairtrade Foundation. We have also sourced a Fairtrade Tea Producer through the Cooperative Group. On the day they will be telling us all about Fairtrade, uncovering the systems and processes behind the brand, some excellent examples of other Fairtrade Cities. Last but not least they will helping people to take action by showing how you, as a business or a community member could get more involved to make positive changes.
